KRAFTON has officially launched the console version of its story-driven adventure game My Little Puppy, expanding its reach beyond PC to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch players worldwide. Developed by Dreamotion, a creative studio under KRAFTON, the game is now available digitally on PS5, with the Switch version rolling out shortly after, and a physical edition scheduled for release on June 25.
The announcement marks a major step for the title, which previously gained strong traction on PC, particularly among players drawn to emotionally driven narratives and unique gameplay concepts.
A Story Rooted in Emotion and Afterlife Themes
At the core of My Little Puppy is a deeply emotional premise. The game is inspired by the idea that when a person passes away, their dog waits to greet them in the afterlife. Players step into the role of Bong-gu, a Welsh Corgi living in a version of dog heaven beyond the Rainbow Bridge.
From there, the journey unfolds as Bong-gu sets out to reunite with his owner, who has just begun their passage into the afterlife. This narrative framework sets the tone for a game that focuses more on emotional connection and storytelling rather than traditional high-intensity gameplay.
The world itself is divided into multiple regions, including deserts, snowy landscapes, and coastal environments, each populated with characters who have their own stories to share. Through these interactions, the game builds a sense of warmth and reflection that aligns with its “healing adventure” identity.

Gameplay Blends Exploration With Canine Behavior
While the story drives the experience, gameplay mechanics are designed to reinforce immersion through the perspective of a dog. Players can perform actions such as sniffing, barking, and jumping, all modeled on real canine behavior.
These mechanics are not just cosmetic. They play a role in how players interact with the environment and other characters, creating a more grounded and authentic experience. The game also introduces a mix of genres, incorporating elements of adventure, action, and even racing to keep the gameplay varied.
The console version adds customization options, allowing players to personalize Bong-gu with items like scarves, glasses, bags, and even a dinosaur costume. These additions provide a lighter, more playful contrast to the game’s emotional core.
Strong Reception Helped Drive Console Expansion
Before arriving on consoles, My Little Puppy built a positive reputation on PC. The game earned an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, reflecting strong user feedback and engagement.
Its popularity was further boosted by international content creators and streamers, who shared gameplay experiences that highlighted both its emotional storytelling and unique concept. This organic exposure played a key role in bringing the game to a broader audience and likely contributed to the decision to expand onto consoles.
Dreamotion CEO Lee Jun-young addressed the global launch in a statement, saying, “We are delighted to reach more users through the console version, and we hope the story we share provides warmth, comfort, and inspiration.” The quote reinforces the studio’s focus on emotional impact rather than traditional gameplay intensity.
The PS5 version of My Little Puppy is now available digitally, while the Nintendo Switch version is scheduled to go live shortly after its initial release window. For players who prefer physical copies, the packaged version will arrive on June 25.
This staggered rollout ensures that players across platforms can access the game while also offering collectors a physical option. With its combination of narrative depth, accessible gameplay, and emotional themes, the console release positions My Little Puppy as a distinctive addition to the growing library of story-focused indie titles.
