Wolfenstein: Youngblood coming to Switch in July

Bethesda has released a new trailer and release date for it’s first co-op shooter in the Wolfenstein series. Wolfenstein Youngblood will arrive on July 26th for PS4, Xbox One, pc and now also confirmed Nintendo Switch.

The game plays in the year 1980, 19 years after the start of the second American Revolution which began in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. The game is played entirely in co-op with either a friend or an AI teammate. You play as Jess and Soph, twin daughters who venture in the Nazi dominated Paris to go search for their father.

Along with a release date Bethesda also announced a deluxe edition of the game, which will feature a buddy pas to play the game with a friend.

Just like with the game A Way Out that launched last year by EA, the buddy pass will allow the player to invite any friend who does not own the game to play Younblood together in co-op. The second player can choose to upgrade to the full game at any time from within the game.

As well as a Buddy Pass, the Deluxe Edition ($39.99 or €39.99) also comes cosmetic bonuses, including the Cyborg Skin Pack, which turns the Power Suits and weapons into titanium alloy versions.
Here’s what’s in the Cyborg Skin Pack:

  • Cyborg player skin
  • Titanium alloy skins for all weapons
  • Titanium alloy hatchet
  • Titanium alloy knife
  • Armor-boosting pep signal

Pre-order any edition of the game and you will receive additional cosmetic bonuses through the Legacy Pack.  Contents of the pack are below.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood Legacy Pack

  • Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus Jacket Power Suit
  • B.J.’s US Army Power Suit
  • The Wolfenstein: Old Blood Pipe
  • The Wolfenstein: Old Blood Knife

Wolfenstein: Youngblood releases July 26 for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
