The Green Light is officially heading to Nintendo Switch, with publisher Take It Studio confirming that the psychological horror game will be released on Nintendo’s console.
While a launch date has yet to be announced, the studio has also released a trailer offering a closer look at the eerie first-person experience. Originally developed by Waleedzo, the game combines psychological horror with narrative-driven exploration.
A psychological horror story centered on mystery
In The Green Light, players step into the role of Fred, a man trapped in an exhausting routine and unhappy with nearly every aspect of his life. Working a dead-end night shift, Fred’s reality begins to unravel after a mysterious voice interrupts the silence over his radio.
The voice tells him that freedom awaits at a distant lighthouse marked by a strange green light. With nothing left to lose, Fred sets out on a journey that forces him to confront disturbing hallucinations, hidden truths, and the fragile line between reality and illusion.
According to the official game overview, players will
“confront the depths of [Fred’s] own mind – and the true cost of freedom.”
Take It Studio has confirmed that The Green Light is being ported to consoles, including Nintendo Switch, though an official release window has not yet been revealed. More information is expected in the coming months.
The released trailer showcases the game’s unsettling atmosphere, dark environments, and psychological themes, suggesting that horror fans on Nintendo Switch will have another story-driven experience to look forward to.
