We all know the Nintendo LABO games have felt kind of gimmicky at best, only to get a little better with the Vehicle Kit late last year. And with the announcement of the VR Kit we were hesitant to see where this game might end up.
Yet, it seems Nintendo is going all out with Nintendo LABO 4.0: VR-Kit, as both Super Mario Odyssey and Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be updated later this month to support VR through the VR Kit.
For Mario Odyssey, Nintendo is implementing “a bit-sized bonus experience”. Three mini missions will have players collecting music notes and Coins in the Cap, Seaside, and Luncheon Kingdoms.
As for Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Nintendo is allowing users to view the world in a different way. This can be enabled by toggling a setting in the menu. This is seriously the big one and we will let you know how this update plays and if this makes the VR Kit worth a purchase!
With this news we believe fans will be looking out for the reviews and if the VR actually plays well on the lower resolution screen of the Switch. But if this plays well then Nintendo might have entered the VR race in a way we never saw coming!
