Randomly generated games have been popular for quite some time due to them being ideal to play over and over again. Some of the best and most addicting games of the last year had this principle and seeing a new game release with this in mind always gets atleast some attention. Yet it is even better when the game is also actually fun to play!
After an incident that King Lucas had with the witch of Sausan, the queen left him and remarried in an adjacent kingdom, and now his daughters are the only ones by his side. Because of his love for them, each time they get lost in the castle, he moves heaven and earth to recover them and he only uses the most intrepid knights to find them. Play for King Lucas and the love of the three princesses.
After a fairly simple introduction, based on an equally simple story, the castle will be built at random and you will have to find the princesses in a small area of it. You can move horizontally and vertically through the pieces until you reach your goal. Once you succeed, the castle will become a little more difficult: a larger area will be unlocked … and the experience will become more hardcore when the princess gets lost in a fully unlocked castle with over 1000 rooms.
The graphics of the games are relatively simple in appearance, but in a way it is a charm due to the characters and monsters rendered in 2D in the 3D castle. The pieces are quite different and they are designed so that everything is playable. The soundtrack, although pleasant, is nothing really special. Simple gameplay and puzzles and a fun platform. As for the combat system, it is very basic, but responds perfectly.
King Lucas is by no means original, due to an empty storyline, but the gameplay and excellent concept of the changing castle is great. Playing is fun and frankly eye-catching. Not an incredibly deep game, but it’s crazy how you end up being hooked on the title. I love.
King Lucas offers fun gameplay in an ever changing castle whilst you try to find the princesses.
